Peter Rabbit Egg Hunt at Foyles

Our friends at Foyles are hosting this free event

Saturday 26th March 2016 11am - 4pm Cabot Circus, Bristol Children's Event, Free Event   As part of the Beatrix Potter 150th Celebrations, this Easter Foyles are hosting a Peter Rabbit Egg Hunt.   Join Peter on his adventure to find the ten eggs hidden in-store. There will be activity sheets to colour-in and stickers to take home if you can spot all the missing eggs… the race is on! There will two sessions: 11am-12noon and 3-4pm. To register, simply emailevents@foyles.co.uk detailing which session you would like to attend.  Throughout the day there will also be an egg decorating workshop set up in the children’s section, which you can just come along to.        Hop into spring with Peter Rabbit and his friends and join in this Easter fun!   Venue: Foyles, Brigstowe Street, Cabot Circus Bristol, BS1 3BH Tickets: Free via RSVP. Dressing up

As usual, Cabot staff and children have surpassed themselves with their knowledge of books and creative approaches to costumes.  I think my favourites this year are the crayons from 'The day the crayons quit' by Oliver Jeffers.  I was particularly impressed by the complete focus on learning displayed this morning in spite of all the new class members!

Reception parents/carers meetings

Thank you so much to all the parents/carers who have attended the reading meetings over the last few weeks. We have been busy learning about sharing books, comprehension and phonics. I hope you have enjoyed them as much as we have.  Please see the Reception blog for some lovely photos.
